WRITING

Words That Carry The Mission

Strategic writing created to help mission-driven organizations clarify their message, tell their story with purpose, and connect more meaningfully with the people they serve and engage. From website copy to donor communications and impact storytelling, this work uses clear, compelling language to build trust, strengthen support, and inspire action.

Margaret's Village

Project Background

Margaret’s Village provides transitional housing for homeless women, children, and families, along with services that empower residents and support the broader community. Its mission centers on strengthening families, building communities, and opening doors so women, children, families, and seniors can achieve their highest potential. The organization’s website describes its work through Maria Shelter, Believe Shelter, and Vincennes Senior Center, which together support women, children, families, and elder community members facing isolation, food insecurity, and housing instability.

The case for support was created to help Margaret’s Village communicate the urgency of its work, the depth of its community impact, and the opportunity for donors and corporate partners to invest in safe housing, supportive services, and long-term stability.

Haven of Grace

Project Background

The Haven of Grace serves women who are pregnant and unhoused by providing a safe, nurturing home, educational programs, and long-term support for mother and child. Founded in faith, the organization’s mission is rooted in hope, dignity, and the pride of independence, one family at a time.

The annual report was created to communicate the organization’s impact, recognize the staff, volunteers, donors, and community partners who helped make the work possible, and show how The Haven’s programs move mothers and children toward independence, stability, and self-sufficiency. The report opens with the unifying theme “Together We Made It Happen,” which establishes a collaborative, gratitude-centered message from the first page.

Women's Resource Center

Project Background

WRC provides free, confidential, 24/7 services for survivors of domestic and sexual violence, including safety planning, crisis intervention, legal advocacy, safe housing, counseling, and prevention education. Its mission is to eliminate domestic violence and sexual abuse through advocacy, education, and systemic change while empowering survivors with comprehensive services.

The 2022–2023 Annual Impact Report was created to communicate the depth of WRC’s work across Lackawanna and Susquehanna counties, highlight program outcomes, recognize leadership and community support, and show donors, partners, and stakeholders how WRC serves as a safe place for survivors and families. The report opens with the message “We are your safe place” and carries that tone throughout the publication.
